No one likes to be judged. It’s in our nature as human beings. We prefer to just live a carefree life without any limits as to what not to do and what to do. This boils down to our feelings. How do we handle people that criticize us? Now we should understand that there are different people that criticize us for different reasons. We have;
- people that criticise cause they are jealous or full of hate: This group can’t stand the fact that you are excelling, you’re better than them, more attractive or even more loved. So they do everything in their power to find faults in you. You feeling sad because of their words gives them the upper-hand in your everyday life. Basically, they feel good when you feel bad. Don’t for any reason have these people in your life. But all the same, love them because their words aren’t meant to break you, they are meant to make you.
- people that critisize beacasue they love you: under this category we can find our parents, elders, sisters, brothers and sometimes our friends. I said sometimes concerning our friends becasue these friends of ours can be pretenders atimes. Deep within them, they hate the fact that you’re better than them, so they try to bring you down, sometimes they do it becasue they want to look better than you infront of people. Yes, people know you guys are friends but with the manner of you being criticized by these friends of yours, you become inferior, to the public and to yourself. If you don’t stand up for yourself, trust yourself and believe in yourself, you’ll get beat down emotionally by these friends. Don’t have friends that don’t want to see you be a better person.
Apart from our friends, family members can criticize you out of jealousy. Now that is a complicated spot because they are family. But you need to once again use their words to fuel your mind, get the drive and show them what you’re made of. Trust me, they’ll get tired of their critics and will probably get eaten by their own words.
SO WHEN THE WORDS IN FORM OF ARROWS COME AT YOU, DO NOT DODGE EM, TAKE THE PAIN AND USE THAT PAIN FOR GAIN.
